“Tracey and I have been to Europe before, but neither of us like touring by bus or train which are quite restrictive,” Tony says. “At the same time we enjoyed having company so the Tour de Europe gave us the best of both worlds.
“There were days when we decided to travel in convoy and days when we did our own thing. It was entirely our choice.
“Meeting the group at our hotel at night was always fun and a great way to end a day of touring.”
